The former Benedictine monastery in Hronský Beňadik can be visited individually or with a guided tour. Guided tours need to be booked in advance. The maximum number per group is 25 persons.
A complete tour takes approximately 45 minutes. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the beautiful gothic church and the monastery exteriors. The newly reconstructed premises of the great granary are also open to visitors.
The Church of St. Benedict the Abbot and the Virgin Mary is an active place of worship. Regular holy services, weddings and baptisms are held here. Due to such events, the entrance to the Church may be restricted. Check the regular service schedule here.

Village of Hronský Beňadik is situated in central Slovakia, just 40 km west of the historic town of Banská Štiavnica. Former Benedictine monastery in Hronský Beňadik is easily accessible via R1 expressway, exit Hronský Beňadik. Drivers should follow the brown tourist attraction road signs. Parking is possible directly below the monastery. Another convenient and free car park is located next to the community centre in the village, where also a tour bus can be parked. Direct bus connection is available from Zlaté Moravce, Nová Baňa and Levice. Direct trains run every day from Levice or Žiar nad Hronom. Hronský Beňadik train station is located within 10 minutes’ walk from monastery.
